New Soccer School Lets Tulsa's Best Young Players Chase Pro Dreams Without Leaving Home
20 August 2026
Tecnico10 has partnered with Tulsa Parks and Tulsa Athletic to open a new academy at Hicks Park, blending elite training with academics and character.
A new soccer school has opened its doors at Hicks Park Community Center in East Tulsa, the result of a partnership between Tecnico10, Tulsa Parks, and Tulsa Athletic. Classes began this week, running four days a week and combining high-level soccer training with classroom work, strength training, and standards around academics, character, and community involvement.
Demand was so high that organizers had to cap the program at 40 athletes for its first year. That is a strong signal of how much appetite there is among families for elite development opportunities that do not require moving away from home. Tecnico10 says it placed 16 players into professional or overseas academies last year alone, with graduates now training in MLS academy systems including the Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas, and Sporting Kansas City.
The timing matters too. Coming off the momentum of the 2026 World Cup being played across North America, cities like Tulsa are seeing a surge of interest in youth soccer, and programs like this one are trying to convert that excitement into real, structured pathways rather than a passing trend.
For young players anywhere, the message is clear: you do not need to leave your hometown to access serious coaching. More and more community-based academies are proving that elite development can happen close to home, as long as the structure, coaching quality, and accountability are there.
